2007 Belmont Stakes

June 9th, 2007 was the 139th running of the Belmont Stakes. The one thing that surprised me the most was that Street Sense didn’t go! I was shocked, but since he didn’t go to the Belmont, he’s going to try and make to the Breeders’ Cup. The good thing about this race was that they had a filly running! Her name was Rags to Riches.
Here are the names of the colts and the filly that entered:
- Imawildandcrazyguy
- Tiago
- Curlin
- CP West
- Slew’s Tizy
- Hard Spun
- Rags to Riches
The winner of the 2007 Belmont Stakes was… Rags to Riches! Girl Power! She beat Curlin by a neck. It was like Ruffian and Foolish Pleasure without the fall. I was so excited, I even bet my dad. He bet Curlin and I bet Rags to Riches, and I won. See ya’ for the Breeders’ Cup!

Obviously, I am a racing fan or I would never have found your page. My grandaughter owns non-racing thoroughbreds and they are so sweet. My hobby is studying bloodlines and I have a virtual stable on here. It is such fun.

What inspired you?
Rags to Ritches is so awesome
Horsejo: Well, I wrote about all the triple crown races, Kentuck Derby, Preakness and Belmont. What inspired me was, I’m a totall racing fan, and I just wanted to share my fealings with everyone at Girls Horse Club. Does this answer it? Thanx for being nice!
