A New World

The lush green grass
cushions me when I fall.
I try to walk,
but my skinny legs collapse under me.
I gaze up at my mamma;
she is so tall.
I can see her red-brown coat
that she passed on to me.
When I finally stand,
she beckons me with a call.
I am so short,
I can easily get milk from below her.
The people put us in the same stall.
I know by everything here
that there are so many things to learn and do,
But there will never be enough time in the world.

Wow!:) Great poem! I love it that you wrote it freestyle without a specific rhyme structure!:D That’s the way I write. I’m hoping to be able to submit one of my poems here in a little bit;)
Really nice poem natalie!
This is an amazing poem from the Foal’s point of view.
