At One

I mount the blue roan in silence
As I grab his dark mane, we progress
swiftly into the night.
We are one.
The poppy fields beneath us tickle both
our legs as we swim through them
We are but whispers in the wind
We are one.
I do not give the roan signals, but
he does to me.
To tell me of the moment he will rise
at a new speed.
We are one.
We race time itself over the hills and
through the misty valleys of dawn.
We are seperate creatures alone, but together
We are one.

OMG, THIS IS AMAZING!!! You are such a good writer! I love it!
I love your poems HorseFeathers, I feel like I’m in them! I love the horse you chose- blue roans are gorgeous. I hope you’ll keep writing your beautiful poetry!
I loved it! as awsome as most ALL the poems on GHC most of them are a little cliche.. It is really hard for me to try to write a poem because my poetry is kinda cliche. But this had a kind of originality, and I LOVED it!
Thank y’all. I do not bother trying to start find words to ryhme because i am horrible at it. I ryhme my thoughts and feelings instead letting them gallop across my mind. I sort of try to let them flow into place. =0) THanks again

I am bad at rhyming too, HorseFeathers. But a really awesome poem! It made my day.

WOW! This poem is one of the best here at GHC. It’s so flowing and descriptive.
