Since Girls Horse Club first came to virtual life in 2001, we’ve showcased thousands of stories, poems and non-fiction articles written by and for horse girls. Although most contributors are under 17, you wouldn’t know it by the quality of their writing. If nothing else, Girls Horse Club is definitive proof that horses (real or imagined) bring out the best in us.

While submissions and comments are closed for Spring Break, I’d like to step back in time and revisit some of the blogs, stories and poems that (in my opinion) represent the Best of Girls Horse Club. You’ll recognize some old favorites and discover some new ones, including stories and poetry pulled from the archives of the Loft Book Club.

So imagine yourself in the loft of this virtual barn, comfortably tucked into an overstuffed chair with the sounds and smells of horse life below, and enjoy the Best of Girls Horse Club’s entertainment, information, inspiration, and fiction/poetry!
