Gentle Carousel is a non-profit charity dedicated to delivering therapeutic visits to children and adults in hospitals, hospice, nursing homes, group homes or confined at home. Their tiny miniature horses provide the beneficial and therapeutic effects of animal assisted activities with the individuals visited, and enhance their quality of life.

I, Jack by Jack the Dog, as told to Patricia Finney (3 copies). Although this isn’t a horse book, it will appeal to anyone who loves animals and is destined to be a classic (I won’t be surprised if it’s made into a movie one day). The story is told in Jack the Dog’s voice. It’s one of the most clever books I’ve read in a long time, with a great story for kids of all ages.
