Dream Horses

In the darkness of night,
In my warm bed,
I am not afraid of the
Blackness ahead.
Though you can’t see them,
I know they are there,
The proud stallions, and geldings,
and one glossy mare.
My dreams of horses,
With comfort and care,
They calm me and cheer me
As long as they’re there.
When in the morning,
At the end of the night
In the new day,
There are no horses in sight.
Alone I must face
Every day as it comes
Until my dream horses
Will become real ones.
Very nice poem Ali! Sometimes i feel like that in my dreams. Now that I think back about it in my dreams (about horses) I can see and hear, but I never remember touch or smell. The imagination is a wild place roaming with the wild horses. Good job

Thanks all for the compliments. Wild Rose (Narnian Rose?), my dream horses are Zephyr and Dreamcatcher. I love the name Caspian, though, it sounds kind of majestic. I dream all of the time about horses. It’s the second best thing to being around them. Some dreams have been really strange! I will wake up and think, “In the dream, I thought that was normal?!” That ran through my mind after I dreamed I rode an 8 foot tall horse!
I like the name Caspian for a horse be cause I absolutely love the Chronicles of Narnia (Narnian Rose)! And Prince Caspian is well I hate to admit it ….CUTE!

Zephyr is a gorgeous name! Dreamcatcher reminds me of a proud, Native American pony. I love those names! I also like Narnia because Susan is a really great archer and I love archery! Have you seen the Chronicles of Narnia and do you like archery, Allison?

I like the name Cinnamon for a horse. I named my foal that, before he passed away. : (
Now don’t think I have too many boomers loose in the upstairs attic…(Don’t think Im crazy) but I like the name Spindleberry Sprite… Charity Blossoms, and Destiny or Dawn. Some of them I made up… I think we’re gonig to name the new QH foal at the barn the first one..

Yes, Narnian Rose, I have seen the Chronicles of Narnia and read the books. I have done some archery and liked it, but I wasn’t very good at it. I love the name Cinnamon for a horse. It perfectly explains most horses’ personality. Sweet, but a little playful. Spindleberry Sprite is so cute! I love that name!
