Dreaming

I close my eyes and slip into a day
A day full of grooming, and horses and hay
A day full of love and respect that is true
A day of horses that truly love you.
I close my eyes and see flowing mane
I see power and spirit like pounding rain
I hear a roar like thunder as hooves pound
I see a flash of color and hear a bellowing sound
I close my eyes and a horse gallops by
To chase away fear and soar and fly!
A horse with color as bright as the sun
Crowned in glory to be seen like everyone!
I close my eyes and dream of love
I see a shinning horse sent from above
I see hooves pounding the ground
I see fire in thier eyes as they make a joyous sound.
I close my eyes and see horses at play
I close my eyes and dream of a new day
I close my eyes and my spirit runs free
I close my eyes and I am complete.

Champion poem vi… a day without horses is like a day without breathing for some of us…Very nice drescriptions

Great job, vi. It really shows the kinds of things that any horse lover would dream about. Pretty horses and awesome days with them.

Great poem! When I’m around horses, my spirit runs free too!:]
ok vi! have you been in my mind?? Another champ! like HorseFeathers said a day without horses is well not a good day at all! in fact it generally feels like nothing at all!! but over the years i’ve learned their always with you in heart and soul.
Thank you Pal’s Pal, I appreciate the kind words as always. you may think your comments mean nothing but they do, trust me, they do! Thank you all for reading what I write and encouraging me to keep writing! If I ever need imporving with something tell me because you’d do me more good than harm critisizing me. Thanks again gals, and remember that horses are always with you!
I agree completely, horses do make everything complete. It’s nice how in this poem horses are only an eye-closing away, and the language you used is beautiful! The magnificence of the horses you described gave me goose bumps. Your poems just get better and better!
I agree with Madelaina, any girl any where in the world can experience horses by just closing their eyes.

Okay, this is amazing. That line, ‘I close my eyes and see flowing mane’, I didn’t even have to close my eyes! I saw the mane! I saw everything! Oh, and sorry I haven’t been commenting, I was at my grandma’s house. I missed y’all!
