Feel the Peace and Love of Horses

When life brings you down,
And you want nothing more than to frown,
Remember the magical place that waits for you!
Deep in the shadows,
Under lock and key,
A place of dream and mystery.
You’ve been there,
You know it well,
You are the creator,
When in dreams you fell.
All your troubles will melt away
When once again you see your horse,
That magical horse who will steal your day,
And turn it upside down
Into something totally amazing!

We all have problems. We all have worries and fears. But there is always a place where we are wanted. It is sometimes hard to get to because the world tells you it doesn’t exist. “A fairy tale is all that is, and fairy tales aren’t true — they are fiction, written by someone!”

Well, the place I am talking about was written by someone, but it’s no fish tale! You must know what I am talking about. If you are a horse lover then you know right away that what I am saying makes perfect sense. If you aren’t a horse lover, then this special place has been locked tight and never opened.

People don’t understand that you can love a horse without even meeting it. There’s a horse in your heart that is already bonded with you. A magical horse crowned in beauty, born in love, crafted from the very imagination and spirit of the horse-loving girl. We each have our own horse there and sometimes it doesn’t show itself. But when we need comfort, we think about that horse and suddenly we find ourselves shoved into a different world. We are in some place that only we can go. It is inside of us and yet we are inside of it. When we go there nothing seems to matter anymore, but the horse waiting for us. Not only are they our friends, but they give us a shove in the right direction when we are trying to decide right from wrong. And sometimes we even find a horse in what’s called ‘real life’ a horse others can see, that reminds us of our special horse that lives in our special world.

Imaginations aren’t just fantasy and fish tales! When you close your eyes and melt into YOUR world with YOUR horse… life is good.

  6. This is the best blog I’ve ever seen you write! You helped me greatly in discovering my inner horse, since before I was only devoted to those that I can see. Each word of this blog is perfect. Spellbinding work!

  7. I try to touch a less thought of subject for peole with horses…how can an girl without a hrose still love them? I sit and think for a while and then POOF! I have a blog like this to show you all. My first horse in my world was named Sweet Tart and she was a white horse with balck spots, black legs, and black mane. She looked like a dalmation almost. I drew a picture of her (which of course was awful because I was 4) and always thought of her.

  8. I experienced the same Violet Inkpen. My first imaginary horse was one that I cut a picture out of a magazine of. He was a handsome bay with a star on his fore-head, and I kissed his picture every night before I went to bed, and loved him with all my heart. My favorite horsey name was Lightning. Who would have that a few years later I would get a bay with a star on his fore-head… named Lightning! He was named that before I got him. I miss my boy, and your blogs always help me to imagine horses back into my life. :)

  9. I love this blog! I totally understand you. I have another world. A world which only I have access to. People tell me “another world? What a big head you have girl!” I felt lonely. Here at GHC, we understand each other, we can relate. Great job, Violet Inkpen!
