Girls and Horses: True Friends

Like men and dogs, girls and horses are meant to be best friends. They are supposed to be together, doing nothing, for hours. They are supposed to trust each other with their secrets, and even their lives. They are friends even when they are not riding together. Horses and girls are supposed to be friends like friends should.

When you are with your friends, you can do cool things. Like have them spend the night, talk on the phone for hours, and see them almost every single day. Well, you can’t do all of that with horses, but you can still do some really cool things with all of your horse friends.

play.gifPLAY. You and you horse can’t play board or online games together, but you can still play together. If you know your horse well enough, you could run around a grassy field, with your horse chasing you happily. Or the two of you could just bask in the sun, feeling the lovely heat, and spending time side by side.

TALK. You will not be able to call your horse on the phone, but you can still talk to them. The two of you could relax in the shade of a big tree. You could tell him about your other friends, you could tell him about your life, you could even tell the horse your secrets. He may neigh in return or not say anything at all, but he is still listening.

picnic.gifPICNIC. You may not be able to pack a lunch and go eat in your backyard with a horse, but you can still go on a picnic with a horse. All you need to do is pack a lunch for yourself, and get your horse some carrots, apples, hay and whatever he likes. Then you could go to your horse’s pasture, lie down in the sun, and be together while eating a tasty lunch.

Horses may be different from your friends at school, but they are still very friendly! And you might not be able to do everything you do with your human friends, but with a horse friend everything is still just as fun!
