He Did Wander

Slow and steady
He does wander.
He did wander
Far and wide.
Now he slows
Hoof beats unsteady
It is now his time to die.
Loving friends
They do surround him.
Hearts to see his final breath.
Now all of those hearts are breaking
They have seen the horse’s death.

This poem is dedicated to all those whose heart have broken with the passing of their horse.

Aww! I love this poem. Last year on Feburary 21, 2008, my foal, Cinnoman, passed away. It was because of him being nosey. He got his halter stuck on a piece of wood. He didn’t stand still and he broke his neck. I missed a week of school and didn’t stop crying for over a month. Now he rests silently in our far pasture, his favorite place. I vist this site whenever I get a chance. I know some day, we will reunite in Heavon where nothing can hurt us no more.

Oh this poem reminds me of a horse from my riding stables. His name was Silver. He taught so many people how to ride. Well he got sick and later had to be put down :( Keep writing. Sorry about your colt Eastern Cowgirl.
Lovely poetry Allison!
