Hoofbeats

Dull, faltering hoofs, they beat
Beat beneath a breaking back
A horse who faces trials of
A master sore and heavy tack.
Light, feisty hoofs, they beat
Beat with joy of life to live.
She carries her load proudly,
To her master, a gift to give.
Do not let your horse be weary,
Give your horses all your love
Lighten the load they are bearing
For they are gifts sent from above.

Champion poem! I love how you rhymed the words..
