HopeFoal: A Prayer Answered

Remember me? The HopeFoal?
You lent me some light.
All your prayers and persistence,
Gave me back my life.
At first things did not look good.
But I knew not to give up hope.
Plus these kids needed me,
I didn’t know how they would cope.
Do we have the money?
Do we end my life?
Or do we go on with surgery,
And deal with financial strife?
Those were the questions to be answered.
With my life balancing too.
I asked these questions also,
And who answered them but you?
You prayed and wished and hoped for me.
You knew my life must go on.
And now once more I can play the notes,
Of life’s harmonious song.
Now I canter through the pastures,
Nap lazily in my stall.
And frolic with my horse friends.
But never will I leap a fence that tall.
So once again I thank you,
For your wonderful exchange.
A few of your spare coins and prayers,
For my amazing flying change.
