Hopelessly Sick

I have a bad sickness! It takes over the heart and turns your dreams towards one subject — horses! In the ‘real’ world, this sickness is known as childish horse-dreaming. Some adults have it too. When a kid has it, it can sometimes be outgrown. Sometimes the treatment plan of the ‘right’ kind of friends can fix the problem and sometimes, for those ‘unlucky’ few, it NEVER GOES AWAY!

They tell me I got it bad! They say they feel sorry for me.”Doomed to love horses forever, sorry…” they say with a sad sigh. I don’t care. I can live with being sick. I actually wouldn’t trade this for the world. I love horses and I will tell the whole world about it! I refuse to be cured. I will not be ‘healed’ from this ‘terrible’ misfortune.

For the LUCKY few who have this special condition, I recommend to feed it, don’t fight it! And the best way to feed it is? Reading about horses, writing about horses, riding horses, and a big amount of GirlsHorseClub.com!

Feed the sickness and never be cured! Some say it is terrible, others just sit back and enjoy it. Are we sick? If so I never want to get well.

GO HORSES!

For those who don’t understand why this ‘sickness’ is something to celebrate, I’ll tell you a secret — it isn’t a sickness, it is love. Plain and simple love with the fiercest loyalty and the most amazing spirit.

  6. Nice blog! lol! This kind of sickness is love. =)

  7. *Grinning* I guess i can’t help messing with people, Julia! I AM sick but it is the kind of obsession sickness. The kind where people say you have some mental problem because you love horses. *rolls eyes* ‘normal’ people don’t understand it but we go.

  8. Agreed. :) My friend always get annoyed at me for obsessing over horses so much. But… what else will I obsess over?!

  9. My parents roll their eyes and (I think) tune me out when I start talking about horses. Maybe it’s because they come up in every conversation I have, but that’s just a theory.

  10. My parents will take some horse talk but I hate how I show them a GOOD picture I drew of a throughbred and they think it is an ARABIAN! BIG difference people! Not to be disrespectful to my parents but a 4 year old shoud know the difference!
Anway, horse girls are misunderstood by ‘normal’ people.

  11. Haha, lovely and entertaining blog Violet! This is one of my favourites, because we get a taste of how “terrifying” this “sickness” is. People groan and roll their eyes at my symptoms, and many don’t understand the sense in them. I’m just eternally grateful, not to mention ecstatic, that I’m a victim. Being sick has its advantages :)

  12. Go horses!
