International Horse Girls

There are probably millions out there who dream about horses every single night, and even scream merely at the word ‘horse’. They give no hesitation to grasp a chance to climb onto the back of a horse and fly away. They will take risks to spend time with them, and treat every moment with them as unforgettable. They are horse girls.

Horse girls come internationally. There are girls in the United States who live their lives on a horse farm. There are girls in Europe who never miss a chance to ride in a horse-drawn carriage. There are girls in Australia, like me, who beg for years on end for a horse or riding lessons. There are girls in Asia and Africa, who normally do not have opportunities to ride or spend time with horses, but still find their magic. Here at Girls Horse Club, everyone without a doubt is a horse girl who is committed and loyal to the equine family.

Before I got riding lessons, everyday I would wish that I could ride. The very second I first sat on the back of a horse, I instantly fell in love, and thought to myself — why I didn’t do this earlier? It was the best feeling in the world to ride and fall in love with horses and to know that even if you don’t know your place in this world, you still have a place with horses.

When I have a doubt or problem, I would think of the horses at my riding school, and shout to the world that I love horses, that they make my dreams come true. That with them, I am not afraid of, and am willing to do, anything.

But I didn’t write this blog to tell everyone in the world we are horse girls. I wrote this because I know many girls who used to be horse crazy, but aren’t anymore because other things are getting in their way. One girl let the life of school get to her. And one girl used to be crazy about horses, but isn’t now since she hasn’t received as many chances to be with them as you and I do. Those aspects of life should never end a girl’s love for a horse. Our bond and trust with them is stronger than any gossip or financial issues. So I’m here to remind everyone: you don’t need to be around horses all the time to be a horse girl.

Horse girls are girls who love horses and are loyal to them as they are to you. Not living on a farm or going riding every weekend doesn’t change that. We each have different perspectives, but the same spirit. There are no rules. No matter what race and age we are, we can all be horse girls.

  12. Hi Morgan! I’m happy you liked my blog. First of all, yes you do need to publish 3 blogs, but there are only 10 slots. However, there are a whole queue of girls waiting to step up from a Guest Blogger to become a Junior Blogger, so it’s going to take a while. On the blog Casting Call for Bloggers it says 17 years or younger, so that’s a good 8 years ahead of you :D.

But still, Guest Bloggers are just as much appreciated. They are still all very talented writers. The title of Junior Blogger doesn’t affect anything. Hope this answers your questions! :D

  13. Madelaina? thanx for the infomation!!!!! it helpd alot! do junior bloggers get to rite blogs even after the loft book club is closed? cuz i see alot of blogs written and published on the blog talk after its clozed!!!!!!!! :-O :-O :-O :( :-? :-/ ;;)

  14. You’re welcome Morgan. :D Unfortunately when submissions for the Loft Book Club is closed so is the Blog. There are usually about two weeks of time for you to write and submit all your poems, stories and blogs, and you can find those dates out when they come out on the Blog calendar. The blogs you see published after the submissions are closed have already been submitted during the submission period. LeadMare, GHC’s well-loved founder and creator, arranges all the blogs to be published so they span for the whole month. This way, girls won’t have an overload of blogs in the first week and have nothing left to read for the rest of the month.

  15. Thank you Madelaina for being so helpful and kind! I’ll post an update on plans for Spring Break/Spring Cleaning sometime this weekend.

P.S. You can write anytime, not just when submissions are open. :D

  16. You’re welcome LeadMare, and I forgot to mention what you’ve pointed out. You can write whenever you want.

  17. Oh my gosh I almost cried! I don’t own a horse, but I surround myself with things involving horses, books, toys, posters, magazines, etc. The horse is a noble creature, who served knights in battle, herded cows for cowboys, and carried Prince Charming away with his Princess. The bond of horse and girl is so strong, no one can take it away, and I hope no one will. Any girl can be a horse girl, even if they live in the city or a place with no horses, like me.

  18. [...] feature articles from many facets of the horse world, like International Horse Girls, Finding the Right Barn, You Know You’re a Horse Girl [...]

  19. Madelaina-

  20. Madelaina-
    Just another thing…..

You really have messages in your blogs. Really! Sometimes, it even makes me have memories of the past. I absolutely love your blogs, and your LBC publishings too! Anyways, maybe you’ll become a writer someday. And then, everyone who knew you in your childhood would say,:

” Like a dream, like a dream come true.”
