HAPPY SUMMER! It’s officially here in my corner of the world, and it’s officially HOT. The cooler beaches are calling me today. But first, a few updates…

JUNE SUBMISSIONS
New blogs and LBC stories have started to roll out over the past week, including several great Blogfest stories. Things don’t always go according to plan so editing is a bit behind schedule. I know you understand when it comes to horses you have to be patient and expect the unexpected — the same is true in the virtual horse world. Check back for more calendar updates coming soon.

SHOUT OUT
The Book Club sits in a quiet, cozy corner of the Loft. It’s a place where characters are built, plots unfold, poetry is crafted, and imagination takes flight. It’s also where many of our Junior Bloggers dipped their toes into being a GHC contributor before stepping up to the blog.

Whenever a new LBC submission is published it’s added to the event calendar and linked from the ‘NEW LOFT STORIES & POETRY’ box on the right sidebar. We also feature the monthly Judge for Yourself winners here at the blog so readers can interact with their favorite authors, and authors can hear from their fans through the comments (hint-hint). Let’s take a moment to say THANKS by submitting a comment to your favorite LBC author(s), either here on this blog or on any blog in the Loft Book Club Favorites channel.

TERRI FARLEY VISIT
Last but certainly not least, Terri and I have been corresponding about her visit to Girls Horse Club from July 5th to 11th. Not only will you have the opportunity to get your questions answered by Terri herself, but there’s a new twist for those who choose to play along. I’ll keep you in suspense for now, but let’s just say the Terri Farley fun doesn’t end when she gallops off into the sunset for her next Summer appearance…

Sincerely,
