Living Out Your Dreams Without A Horse

Not everybody can have a horse or take riding lessons. I, a horseless horse-lover, know exactly how you feel. What do you do if you are (sigh) horseless? Do you mope around and let everyone know how awful and unfair the world is, or do you find a way to participate in the horse world anyway? Since you are at the Girls Horse Club Blog, I am assuming you are in the second group. Here are some tips to help you live out your dreams without a horse…

Read a lot of horse books. You can read amazing stories and learn plenty of interesting horse facts. I have found that while I read a horse book, I grow attached to the horses, almost as if I owned them. Horse fact books are not only a great source of information, but when your parents discover all of the stuff you know about horses, they may consider lessons. And of course, read this blog! You can learn from and be inspired by some of the great bloggers.

Write about horses. You can live out your dreams on paper and add new chapters often to the story of you and your horse. When you are done, publish it at the Girls Horse Club Loft Book Club so we can all read it!

Of course, NEVER GIVE UP YOUR DREAM OF HORSES. If you truly love horses, it will be easy to not give up. Keep looking for a stable or a place to spend time with horses and keep dreaming. I thought I would never ride again and almost gave up, when I discovered a stable close to my house. My parents now may let me take lessons there. Anything is possible!

  1. You’re one of the many bloggers here I’d definitely learn from and be inspired by! Even if I’m already extremely lucky and glad that I have riding lessons, hunting out horse books and writing about horses are still my hobbies. Those are great tips that everyone, horseless or not, should pay attention to.

  2. Hey everybody! This is an amazing blog! I’ve had t do this a lot and its really a good thing to keep doing. I can’t take lessons either and recently a friend suggest that I help out a local therapy center where the kids ride horses. I’ve looked into it and its a really neat experience. So look into things around your community that you could volunteer at, maybe at a rescue center or something like.
