Please share your thoughts about any aspect. What did you like most about it? Is there something we should do differently in the future? Any guesses about who played what character? (Players, it’s up to you if you want to reveal your character.) What did you think of the storyline(s)?
GHC THEME SONG UPDATE. Voting for lyrics has closed. Thanks to all who participated and voted. HorseFeathers’ original intent was for each GHCer to vote once for their top pick, but it turned out that 1) some girls didn’t realize that, and 2) the poll allowed some people to vote more than once. Well, sometimes things don’t go as planned so we’ll just adjust accordingly. Tomorrow’s blog, GHC Theme Song: Take Two, will present some options to account for the ‘unscientific’ nature of the voting.

HOOVES UP! I’m gearing up for a late spring break in the coming weeks, during which I plan to spend as little time as possible behind a computer (yay!). In addition to exploring new trails and hanging out with loved ones, I’ll also be stepping back to think about priorities and future goals. I’ll share more as plans are finalized, but you can anticipate the barn will be more quiet than usual, and some features will be temporarily unavailable during the break.
Thanks for reading!
Sincerely,

The roleplay was definitely worth every minute I spent on it. From my first post to my last I could feel my creativity thriving and writing improving as well. Being able to become a different person and experience events that you wouldn’t normally experience was new and extremely fun. I’ll forever appreciate all of your hard work. It’s nice to see that you’ll be getting a chance to relax and enjoy the horses in real life. You certainly deserve it and I hope you’ll have lots of fun, whatever you might be doing. Will you be travelling this time?
Alright, time to admit: I roleplayed Samantha Dodee. Can you guess who I am? Well, I’ll just tell you: I am Wild’n'Free, and I played Samantha Dodee. There you have it. You’ve seen — sort of — what I can do, except I’ve had a pretty busy month so far and therefore haven’t been on very much. But, that’s all.
—Wild’n'Free
I was Taylor Davidson. So much fun! But can we have a chance to finish our storyline in the future?
My Mum Dad and Sister told me they voted for memore than once on this computer…I’m sorry about that…..next time we will vote once! Sorry about that.
Madelaina, thanks as always for your kindness to me and everyone at GHC. Yes, I will be traveling and part of that will involve several days in the ‘saddle’ (but not the kind of saddle you might think). Should be an adventure!
I’m glad everyone had fun with the role play. I don’t know about continuing the same storyline, but you can always work on developing your character in some other way.
IMHO if there’s a GHC theme song it should be something meaningful to the girls who hang out in this virtual place. Our friends and families are our biggest fans (of course!), but ultimately the theme song is not for them, unless they’re also horse girls who hang out here…
Oh, and this is probably obvious but my character was Lois McLane. She was created as a minor character intended to help synthesize/summarize story elements.
I loved the roleplaying to the top! I was Roselyn Hanover for the most part until i had to quit on the last few days.. =0( school matters with which caused me to be gone three days. Anywho i enjoyed what i could of it and y’all are amazing writers! I loved Leadmare’s Lois Mclane character it added a bit of suspense! Can’t wait to see what y’all can come up with for the next part of the GHC theme song

I loved the roleplay for a while but it was out of control. People were contradicting each other and waht that person had to say and no one would talk to you unless you made their charter. I quit posting in it becuase the story line was impossible to follow and everyone was doing something different.
I loved it as I said until things got a little ….crowded. In the future there should be a defenate story line something that people can’t change and bend so they all have their own little story going on. Like a Horse Camp or something where there is a sepecific story line that people follow instead of makig their own?
Congratulations Allison! I loved your song, I can relate to it so much, and I think that everyone else can too! And everyone else who sent in lyrics, great job for participating. We are so amazing at working together here, and this competition is proof of it. Nickers and Neighs!
I was Katrina Meade, and I thought you were Lois McLane, LeadMare! I had lots and lots of fun on the roleplay, but I was so disappointed when we didn’t get to finish. :( I wanted to see who got the letter and what was in it. Oh, well, there’s always next time.
Oh- and we will miss you so much when you’re gone LeadMare! *sniffles- throws back head and cries*
Yes lead-mare……i told them i entered and when i went to bed they voted for me!
I should have guessed that! Lois McLane was so mature… I was wondering who was playing her!
I think I know who Roselyn Hanover is, but I’ll let her reveal it. :)
I played Robyn Wilson, whom I based slightly on myself. (I don’t remember bright lights, whinnies, and screams, though.)
I really liked the Role Play; especially all the twists it took! I especially liked adding in the treasure hunt. :) When is the next one coming out?
Enjoy your Spring Break! You deserve it! :)
I only voted once. It was fun to keep tabs and watch the voting take place, though.
The role-playing was so much fun. Maybe just needed to wait to end it until the plot was finished. But everything was great.
I played Brooke Dawson. I was stuck on getting a last name, and thought of the Titanic- that’s where I got the ‘Dawson’ part. Ha ha.
Have fun on your break.
Cool! I was right! You were Roselyn Hanover, HorseFeathers! :)
One suggestion about the Role Play; I kept on mixing my character with my GHC username! Is there a way that a window can pop up to remind you to change your username to your RP name? Special thanks to LeadMare for changing my name back when I messed up! :)
I wasn’t really able to participate that much in the roleplay. *Looks innocent* I wonder… who on earth was that devilishly handsome Ben Blake played by?
HAHA Rach! Was it you by chance who played Ben? lol I was Roselyn Hanover.. i liked making up the characters and story

Have a great vacation LeadMare!
I really enjoyed the role play and hope we’ll have another sometime.:D Ingenious idea LeadMare!
I think everyone knows who I was.(CJ Gould) I kinda made it obvious ;) I based her a lot on myself, although she has more (lots) experience then I.:) And Scamp was based on my Corgi/ mini Aussi cross pup, Hammie. Dakota Dawn was also a real horse, my sister’s, and his story was true.
I’m just guessing, but I think….
HorseFeathers was Roselyn Hanover
LeadMare was Lois McLain
Peanut was Jessica ——(I forgot! Sorry!)
And thats all I can guess :)
i played adel granza
and everyone im so sorry, i voted three times, i did not realize you weren’t supposed to.
so sorry
Haha, I’d had my wild and crazy guesses for the roleplay, but I only managed to get Roselyn Hanover and Lois McLane right. I played Camille Evans, inspired by a randomly picked first and last name from Google :) Great job everyone with their characters!
Congrats to Allison and the other writers of the top five lyrics, you guys did a wonderful job.
i obviously made my character too easy to recognize with me. haa lol. I can’t wait till the next role playing. Its alright though with the voting probs.. well just work around it like Leadmare said

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll think about extending the time frame if there are future role plays, and I hope you’ll think about pacing because I wouldn’t want to extend the time frame, then still have everyone feel like there wasn’t enough time.
Horsey at Heart, you’re not the only one who got confused and used your regular GHC name in the role play, or vice verse. I appreciate the suggestion, but won’t be implementing any special features to address that if there are future role plays. Just do your best to keep track of it.
Some observations:
One of the things I didn’t expect is that some characters spoke for characters other than their own. No one did that with my character, but personally I wouldn’t like it if someone wrote dialog that was not aligned with how I envisioned my character. But I can understand why it was done — it’s hard to have an exchange with another character when the role play is not in ‘real time’.
It was interesting that no one took on a villain character, and only Rachel Danielle played a minor male character. I think it’s easier to create a character based in whole or part on yourself, and much more challenging to create a believable character that’s nothing like you.
I was Jessica :). I found it hard to post much because of the time difference and when I logged in there were so many new things happening! It’s was quite hard to follow, but it was great fun!
I KNEW HorseFeathers was Roselyn!!!!!!! I am the BOMB! LOL! I had tons of fun, even though, it did keep getting kind of confusing! Actually, though, once I got the hang of it, I was really good at it.
Thanks for the feedback. Sometimes I forget that you’re kids — you act so mature!
I totally understand and respect whatever boundaries your parents have set for your online activities. We’ll nix the YouTube idea since it’s not open to everyone. And I know you respect that GHC is a non-denominational place for all girls who love horses. I’ll come up with an option that allows any musically inclined horse girl to participate, so you can focus on trying to bring a theme song to life. Just give me a heads-up when you have something to submit…
I was Christi Smithers- sorry I didn’t contribute much, I was busy and that long list of comments to read was daunting! This activity got WAY out of control, in my opinion! It was really hard to keep up with the story, but that just might have been me! :) Maybe we could try limiting the number of people next time by having two separate blogs with the same prompt?
HorseFeathers, I knew it was you! I guessed that you were Roselyn Hanover. You have a great writing style that I recognized.
LeadMare, oohhh, you were good. I didn’t guess you were Lois.
And, I was Alexandra Thomas. Sorry I couldn’t write more, I was busy.
wow i misses role-play….
Oh. I was Audra Hanover. I wasn’t able to finish the roleplay because I had a ton of school stuff going on that I had to do. I really wanted to finish it though! Well, maybe we will have another one after the break. =)
Keep up all your great writing everyone! I hope to devote my summer to my writing and when the break is over I hope to have some things to contribute to GHC. See ya all later!
