Out of the Closet - Part 1

This morning the imaginary horses in our Stables spoke to me. “LeadMare, I’m tired of being virtual,” Shahar whinnied. “Let me out in the *real* world!”

Then Lone Star bugled, “You’d NEVER keep a beloved horse locked in a dark closet. I should be running and playing with my herd of horses and horse girls. I want freedom!”

Talk about pulling my guilt strings…

So I climbed on a step stool, scanning the depths of my closet for The Box. It’s just a dusty, ratty old thing with sloppy writing on the side. After carefully pulling it out, I placed it on the table and opened the top. Inside is all the Int*l Horse tack and accessories a horse girl could ever want for her pampered horse model. Buried treasure from early years of Girls Horse Club.

Perhaps in the future Shahar and Lone Star will model some of their favorites. For now, they’re thrilled to be out of the closet enjoying the sunlight.

Shahar found her own treasure chest of juicy apples that had fallen to the ground.

Lone Star seems to be going for minty fresh breath.

    Hi horsejo. Definitely an off-topic question, but… There are still a few blogs in the queue from before the publishing/editing/illustration services were put on hold. I’ll get to them when (if) those services resume.

    What little time I can devote to GHC online is focused on what’s next and behind-the-scenes activities that will come forward when the time is right. Change is good, because…

    Marisa and Jeanna, I don’t want to shut down GHC but do need to make some changes and that leaves me with limited time to devote to y’all. I hope to re-open publishing features, giving authors more control over their stories.

    Julia, it would be a dream come true to offer GHC products in our catalog one day.

    Keep your finger’s crossed for an O:-) to come along!

    Leadmare the models are amazing! We would all love to pitch in if you are overwhelmed! I’m sure that all of us would be happy to help, and I know that if you created a way, I would dnate my time money and my soul! This place has changed me! I have made friends and learned how to become a better person and horselover! So if you want I know that the Girls Horse Club Girls will be ready and willing to lend you a hand anytime you give us a shout!

    Thanks everyone for your kind words and enthusiasm for GHC. But I don’t want anyone dying or donating their soul. ;)

    Everything will work out. Trust is important to relationships between horses and horse girls so I’m just not making any promises until I know I can live up to those promises.
