Preview: Horsez PC Game

I recently got a copy of the new Horsez game for the PC (Windows XP). The plan was to play it and write a review for others who might be interested. I’ve only played for a couple hours, but wanted to share a preview of the experience so far in case it’s on your holiday wish list.
First Impression
I was excited when the game arrived. The front of the package has an adorable photo of a mare and foal. The back has several images from the game, one of which (pictured below) shows a rather large foal (or a rather small woman) with a backward Western saddle. Odd. But maybe part of the game is about learning how to put a saddle on a horse? Why you would put a saddle on a foal, I don’t know. But I’ll try not to be too picky about realism if it’s fun.
I also noticed the instruction book has pictures from the game that say, “Pippa Funnell: The Golden Stirrup Challenge” instead of “Horsez.” The package and description don’t say anything about Pippa Funnell, and so far there’s no mention of her in the game. Confusing.
Playing the Adventure
Horsez starts by having you select a horse and give it a name, then watch a short movie that introduces the adventure. The game is set at a prestigious riding academy. The head of the academy has recently died and new partners have taken over. A young woman is chosen for the academy, but as she is speeding up the road on her scooter, she crashes.
This brings you to the first challenge — direct your horse to find and save the girl. You have two minutes and three tries before the game ends and you have to start over. After nearly two hours I have yet to find the girl. Frustrating. And there’s no option to turn off the timer even in the easiest mode.
Training and Competing
There is a training mode where you can practice riding and competing. The first level is a jumping course, but it looks like more courses unlock as you advance. This part is similar to other riding games. You use the arrow keys to speed up/slow down your horse and must hit the spacebar at just the right time as your horse approaches the jump, otherwise you get a fault or a refusal. After three refusals you’re disqualified.
Quality
The overall quality of the game is good. The graphics are 3D, the horses are fairly realistic, and there’s beautiful scenery of locations around the world. It comes on three CDs, so it’s a large game and appears to have a lot of play value. Horsez is also available for the Playstaion 2 and Nintendo DS. I have not seen those versions, so don’t know if the game play is similar.
Mixed Messages
So far my biggest disappointment is that Horsez seems more like a typical horse adventure game and riding simulation (jumping, cross country, dressage). That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but I expected a horse care and training game similar to Dogz, Catz, Nintendogs, etc. Perhaps there’s more as you get into the game, but I may never find out since I can’t seem to get past the first challenge…
Review, or Not?
Most likely I will not write a full review of the game because (most likely) I will not play it again. For me, it’s important that a game capture my interest from the beginning. In the first two hours of playing Horsez on the PC, I mostly felt confusion, frustration, and disappointment.

I’m glad you came out and told us of this new Horsez game. I’m always looking forward to new Horse games – whether it be online or a gaming console – and I would’ve hated to buy something and be disappointed in it. Thanks for all the info!
Wish I had read your review before I plunked down money on this stinker! Tried for an hour last night to help my daughter solve the first puzzle, to no avail. If anyone figures out how to find the girl, please post the answer. If you are buying this from someone who expects to get their enjoyment from the game by riding in competitions, caring for the horses, etc, then, if the opening sequence is any indication, they will be sorely disappointed…
I have the DS version and I abslutely love it. It looks very realistic and is probably as close as you can get for carng for a horse. It’s fun and challenging. I have been playing non stop. Dressage, jumping, cross country, and general horse care is all involved in this game. I would reccomend to anyone who loves something challenging.
Update: I found the girl. She’s actually just a little ways ahead of the horse from the starting position. As you walk forward (towards the door in the wall), keep to the side by the cliff. You will see a tree branch sticking out from the cliff, and you will see her hands holding onto it. Not easy to see, but its there. Once you see her it will start a sequence that rescues her and gets you to some of the rest of the content…

On the DS version What do you write when you are doing the dressage?
I have 2 Pippa Funnel games
1 is 4 game boy advance and it was really rubbish so we sold it
The other 1 I got 4 Xmas, 4 nintendo DS, and its quite good! I still haven’t got past the 1st week cos you need 2 pass and Im quite bad at dressage and popularity but I like the foal part where you buy a foal and look after it
I have the ps2 version. I just wanted to know if anyone has found the key to the library? Everytime I play thats as far as I can get.

I DESPRETLY Need help for the part when you need to buy new playing cards I can find the chapel and the antique book but when your horse has to get to the bridge to save the girl well I cant figure out how to get to her

ttyl horselover…..to clean the hooves you move the the left joystick in the direction that the arrows shows….make sure you start where the arrows starts and move the joystick around (circualr motions) if the arrow is red your not doing it right…it will turn green when your moving it the right way.

Ride the horse a little farther ahead and around curve (to the right.) You’ll see a open area where you can run the horse onto the grass. The horse will automatically jump the creek. Go to the right to the girl. She will get on and you can ride her back to the road.

I’m addicted to this game lol but sooo stuck. PC version – when your in Alsace in week four, where do you find the key for the gate when you have to meet spike? I’ve looked everwhere and can’t figure it out, and the clue on the rock doesn;t help… cuz there are sooo many rocks, and none of them give an interaction sign. Help would be greatly appreciated!1!
Ok update… I found the rock… but I don’t get any interaction sign when i go near it. Do I have to do something special for it to work?

If your playing the pc version and its when your looking for samuel, its the big door to the right of the stairs, it says its locked but try it anyway

I am in China and have to do something. I have the two map pieces and i think i’ve got to the island on the painted map. I think i have to do something with the dirt at the middle of the island but what??? Really need help.

Hi.. i have the ps2 game and i’m stuck!!! I’m up to the part of USA, i need to take the horse back to the horsebox before the director comes.. problem is MY HORSE WON’T MOVE!!!!! Is it jsut the game.. or is there supposed to be a specific way? I pressed “sqaure” SOOO MANY tiems an dyet the (beep) horse won’t move!!! PLEASE HELP!

to be honest the game is suspiciously like my two games promoted by pippa funnell..if you google the. graphics look similar..one of the games is actually set in scotland too..and the US and morrocco. still, may buy it as a bit of university tranquility

Jesica – In the PC version, once you get past the first challenge of rescuing the girl, part of your daily tasks involve caring for the horse.
I think the game is OK for a horse lover without a horse, but I haven’t gotten very far into it yet. What do others think?
Another product I like is “My Very Own Horse Book” from Klutz, makers of all those cool activity books. If the person doesn’t have a lot of experience with horses, the book has good general information and it also comes with a horse model and supplies to make miniature tack (english saddle and blanket).

What do you have to do in Learning? With the foal. ‘Cause I don’t get any points at all! Do you have to push something to get points? When you step the green ones, then what…?
Yeah, in Dressage, how do you push something of the buttoms? I think my sister is doing it correctly, but it don’t work. Is it something wrong with my computer, or the game?

Horse Sister, It doesnt matter wether or not your horse steps on the green dots. You know how you are supposed to keep your mouse inside the fan like area. Well you collect the dots by going over them with your mouse. You get points by making a full circle. And what do you mean about your question in dressage?
I have rescue the girl but i have to go to the chapel for a book but i cant enter into the path that go there! Help me!

How do the girl get off of the horse?
Hurry!
To get to the chapel, dismount by pressing the right Ctrl button and you will just dismount. Then walk across the bridge to the chapel. You’ll have to find a place to jump later, so see above posts.
I’ve finished the dressage part of my first competition, but the screen won’t change. It just sits there on me sitting on my horse. Is it supposed to do that, or is it my computer? If it’s part of the game, then how do I get out of it? Thanks!

Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete on your keyboard at the same time. Click cancel when a menu pops up. It should show your desktop. Just maximize your game and presto chango, it’s there ^^

i found the guy that u buy the cards from. then he says he needs a book or something from the chapel. if u bring him that book then he’ll give u the cards. this website helped me figure out the first challenge. i hope someone will answer and soon.

k this is help for jesica. you get to the chapel by going 2 the door at the way front of the shopping center. when u click the space bar it automaticaly puts u on ur horse. you then go across the bridge and turn left. after two rights there will b a little doorway with the two little pillar things on the side. go thru there. except u have 2 get off ur horse 2 go in
k i need some more help with the chapel. if ur on a laptop how do u dismount when u arrive at the chapel?? my laptop does not have a right control key so i dont know how 2 dismount. help plz!!!!!!!!
k never mind on the laptop dismount thing. i went 2 the customize control option and i changed my dismount 2 D so wheni hit D i will dismound. didnt happen. i went 2 the chaple again and i hit D and it didnt dismount. that just makes it a terrible game. i mean come on wut game doesnt let u change ur controls. all i can say is this game SUX!

horse luver 3: To get Samuel out of the student center, find the frequency of the radio station he’s listening to. When you do you’ll find the other boy. Hope this helps!

China Looking for party:
U get 2 pieces of map in town and map with cross from chinies girl. First follow green line. On the edn U found picture of island and cave. Island you can find by big map. There is diged ground. You need shovel. It’s next to cave. Cave is on the top of the hill in west side (by map). Now dig out the crank on the island. Straight to well marked on big map. Last cue send you to the middle of the location where is dark path, party supposed to be here. You get also a key, don’t know from what. Now I need light to get into the dark, but I can’t find any, can anyone help?

Hi, I have the DS version and I’m so stuck in week 3. I took my horse for a stroll, but there’s no end to it. I jut keep riding. There’s nothing to find or do, and nowhere to go. Is there some trick to this? Help!

MAN!! no one answered this question about the stupid rock!! i see what rock it is, i see the little red patch, but there is nothing there.. no interaction signs or anything, how do you get the key?
Ok… anyone who needs help with the red rock, if you haven’t already done this.. i went to a different website and found out what to do.. ok, once you take the picture, you :
1. get back on the horse and turn around
2. you walk down the path and take the first left
3. you walk up that path until you get to the dead end
4. Once you get to the dead end its obvious where the rock is, you just get off your horse and walk towards the rock.. once you get there.. there will be an interaction sign, then you just simply get on your horse and ride back to the gate!
HELP GOING MAD!
I am at Week 3 in Alsace, France and I have to take a photo of a building in order to forge a concert ticket.
I found the building and tried to take a photo, BUT I have taken 16 photos already and that is the limit. You can usually go into the common room or dorm room and discard photos but as I’m in the middle of a mission, I can’t go to my room and I can’t discard any photos in the library where I am either.
This may be a glitch in the game because if I can’t take that photo then I cannot get any further in the game and therefore have to start it ALL OVER AGAIN.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Pix, i had the same problem 1 time but i figured it out ti think i pushed a button and i came up… i think it was D but i cant remember…but i do know this:i went on my first walk and it told me to take a photo of something.but i had wasted all my photo space when i was getting the book 4 the old man.i was trying to get-rid of a few and i fit the only button that i thought would word “D”.”D” 4 delete and i think it worked.

OK I figured it out!
I just had to open my eyes and read the manual. To view your pictures anywhere, press “F” on the PC. There you can discard photos.
Im playing the PC version too. But i wanna know how I turn around my foal in the learning…I wanna teach him, please help :’(!

HorseGirl: to turn the foal around turn the u hit the down arrow twice. the first hit it will stop and the second time it will turn around. u hit the down arrow a third time and it will start walking in the other direction.

In order to turn the foal during Learning, you must press the down key until he turns around. Then, once he is turned, you make him walk, trot, canter, etc., to what the box in the corner says ^^

To get the Spike’s autograph and the bottle for Harry, you go to the pub where the concert was. The bottle costs 70 tokens, and the autograph is free since you already did the favour for Spike.
Could you please tell me where you found the flower? That’s where I’m stuck!

Oh, I found it, with help from another site.
You find the flower for Jade up by the castle where you take the picture for the ticket. It’s bright green-ish blue, and pretty obvious.
Hey, I am playing the PC version, and I’m in week 5 in China. I need to know where to get the 2nd part of the map to go to the bonfire. I only have the first part from the library, and I need the 2nd half before I can leave.

I feel stupid. I am on week 2 and trying to understand the riddle…well i haver done it twice. picked 2 different boxes and found those clues. A duck and a clock. I have also found the old guy from the shop but i can’t talk to him. Can anyone help? Also when do you get a foal? Thank you for your help.

To get the concert ticket, you must go out into the grounds, and find the castle that is on the ticket on the photo of the website. I can’t remember precise directions, sorry. But once you find it you take a pic of it from the correct angle, and you bring it back to Jade.
does anyone know how to do extened canter and other harder dressage figures?? i have unlocked them but i cant do them/i dont know the keys 2 do them. and also wut does the exclimation mark mean when training ur foal?? i really need help with these cuz i cant pass week 3 unless i do better in these areas. help plz!!!

In order to unlock the harder dressage figures, you need to go to the library and read up on the figures you need to learn, then note them in your book! Hope it helps!
I am now on Week 5, Love Makeover.
I have found the first two clues, but I cannot for the life of me find the third! I followed the rice path and I got to the hill and I’ve taken my camera out but I do not know what to do! Could anyone help me? It’d be greatly appreciated!
Alright I have found the last clue!
For oanyone who needs to know, once you reach the top of the hill, you take out your camera. It will need to be fixed, so ride back to the village, go to the library, and ask Harry to fix it. He will agree if Carroll gives him a makeover. Walk to Carroll and tell her about Harry, and then walk back to the library, tell Harr she said yes and he will fix it for you.
Next, you ride back to the hill, take out your camera, and point it until you find the red flag. Zoom in 100%, and take a photo. Then, follow the road that takes you to where the admirer will be. The flag is actually a map, so it will show you where to go.
When you get to the gate, get off your horse and walk to the locked gate. It will need to be unlocked, so go to your inventory and grab the map. The number on the map is the comination.
And that’s it! The admirer will be awaiting! Hope it helped!
I am now, however, stuck on week 6, where I must find 150,000 tokens. How do I do that?! And where do I go once I leave the village and I am on my horse? I am very much confused! Help!

Brittany Go into the blue door in the town and next they will pet you on your horse and turn left and then keep going forward pass the way where you turn right but keep going forward then after awhile you will see one of those white gate things so dismount your horse with ctrl and go to the building across the bridge and that is the chapel so you have to go in it and you will see a book on the floor and when you get close press space. Then head back!! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT WEEK YOU GET THE FOAL??

To get a foal in the menu when you get to choose whether it is adventure, foal or training choose foal. THIS IS IN THE PS2 Game. I am not sure wheather the foal grows up or not.

Brittany: to get 2 the chapel u come ut of the student center and go over the bridge and go left. you will b on a windy road and when u come 2 those little bridge things. when u come to one of those, you go 2 the grass a little 2 the left of the bridge things. then u dismount and follow the road all the way 2 the end when u c the chapel. hope this helps!

sorry for double post but when i go into a competion in the adeventure at the end of the week when i get to show jumping my computer just makes me go really slow and i get eliminated. you get the batteries from samuel in he library and nikki, the answer is the letter “e”. i think you took the wrong chest :)

I had the same problem! Go to the SECOND chest, which will be “E” and follow the path that it shows you on the map on your horse. You will come to a pond at the end of the path, and a rubber duck will be there. Get the duck, run back to your horse, and ride back to the village. When arriving, go to the library,m and all your friends will be there. Go and talk to Jade. Your prize is a foal the following day!

I kow what you’re talking about, it’s hard!
What you need to do is after you have done the first two (Going to the campfire area, and going to the waterfall, you must find Miguel! When you take a picture, your girl should say it is a map. If she hasn’t you need to take a new picture. Zoom all the way in on the map. Then, your inventory will show you where to meet Miguel. Once you arrive to the meeting place, the path will be blocked off. So go back to your inventory, click on the map and voila! 1309 was the combination! Walkk down the path and meet Miguel! Good luck!

I have the DS version and dressage is really very easy once you get the hang of it. You have to go to the library and read on dressage movements (it says dressage: free walk) or any other gait. Then it wil give you the symbol to draw. Then you get a few seconds to draw it. You get a few new moves in the library every new week (game week). Happy I could help.

For everyone having problems finding the girl in the first level, when it starts-go straight and look for a branch over on the right side, you should see hands hanging onto it, then walk up to it and you should be clear for that level.

Mik_luvs_horses this is how u find miguel and sameuel. Go back in to the town and go into big brown door. They say u can’t but try anyway and that might help u. for the next part u will have to find a phone which is in the library on the desk. GLad I could help!!!!!

tamhaeli,the book is in the chapel on the upper part of the city. and to dismount you press the right control key,just make sure nothing is in the way of you getting off your horse.And in the chapel there is a little statue of the old master.don’t miss it.

I found the key in a room outside of the academy. you go outside by going down the stairs and when you get down you go straight down, do not take a right. keep trying to open all the doors until you finally get one open towards the end of the path.go inside the room. i think the key’s on the table.

I have recently purchased the PS2 version. We are stuck on the race on the beach part. Everytime you try and pass her she stops you. Is there a secret behind this.

In the race on the beach in the PS2 version don’t follow the girl when she goes up the top path, instead u will c a nother path an also on the corner turn after the bridge cut across the grass. Gud luck!!

Well I’m in week 4 of the game so far and I’ve been playing for roughly two days. I really like it although I would not recomend it for anyone younger than 12 because most parts of the game are quite difficult and require lots of patience.

Once you get out of the shed you:
1.Go back to the studant center.
2.Look around for a map and pick it up.
3.Do the comptiton.(You dont’t use the map it just makes you do the comptiton.)
I have it for ps2. You can’t talk to them. I you walk by them you get caught and start all over again.

cowgirlkaylan, you know the floral arch? Dismount your horse and go under the arch and then follow the path upwards. When you get to a barrier, go on to camera mode and take a picture of the stone with the blue writing on it. The follow the instructions it gives you. I hoped I could help you! =)

Jumper chic, the exclamation mark means that the gait is going to change any second or you’ll need to turn your foal around. I have a question.When you are on the secret admier bit but when it says:Are your eyes eager enough to read it,? what do you do?Cause when I take a photo it just says about zooming in and a photo going in you intvory.

you need to go to the gate, then you have to take a picture of the rock ( ctrl ) then you have to go up and there is a red rock. then you get off, and click on the red rock i think. hope this helped.

I need help at the end of week 3. During the Dressage competition the left and right arrow keys are not responding when the message “Collected Canter (Unknown Figure)” or “Extended Trot (Unknown Figure” appears. This results in my disqualification and being sent home. “GAME OVER”. What do I do?

ok i found it. go to comment 95 but if you get stuck this might help. finding the shovel: after the bridge you take a right. you go to the VERY top of that hill. its pretty darn obivous. its sticking right up. hope this helped

Horsez lover, I found the keys in the librairy. the keys to the librairy are in the first room in front of the gate. the keys are in that room on the table. I have the keys to the attic and i know it’s upstairs. the guards are blocking the way upstairs after i stole the chess piece. is there any way to give it back? i don’t know any other way to get up there. when i walk near them i get caught. is there a way to get to the attic with the keys without stealing the chess piece?

Marisa in case you havn`t found out yourself you need to go back to the corridor but before you go up the stairs go into your room and use the phone to make the phone in the corridor ring and guards will leave. Don`t worry they won`t catch you when you enter your room

this race drove me mad too. At the beginning try to get in front of her but don’t touch her or your horse will just stop – its really frustrating. If she does get in front its ok but keep galloping. then cut across the grass on your left just as you begin to approach the paddy field. Then slow down and then cut across again. If you don’t slow down you always bump into a rock or something. then just win. I can’t remember if you have to cut again or not. But the slowing important or you can’t negotiate the corners.
I’m slightly ahead from that – does anyone know how to get out of the locked room which Esteban has put me in? Also where is the competition held? Its a timed one by the way so those who haven’t got that far watch out for it!
Noname – you have to find a red rock and the key to the gate is underneath it . Turn left as you turn round and go round the corner at the top of the path you reach a dead end and a red rock. This is timed if memory serves… The key is under the rock. Then just go in and meet spike.

HELP! im on week two and looking for the secret admire i have bin to the chaple and to the flower arch aNd read the message on the mountain but i cant find were i have to go next plz help me!
Sarah – you have to dismount your horse just before the flower arch. You do this by pressing Right control. Then you walk up the pathway underneath the flower arch. When you get to the end of the path press left control to activate your camera – hold down the mouse to zoom in – you should see a message on a rock – take a picture of the message. It should give you in structions. Then u just walk down the path and turn right after thirteen odd paces and a hand icon should come up and you will know where to go from there. You will then have another message from your admirer. Hope this helps.

summerlover – You need to get the key. In order to get into the antique shop. The key is found in a very large tree. You find this out by having the crank. You know where kiew told you that your friends may have been having a party at the shack she gave you a map for? Well you need to go there, you find a well. Dismount your horse by pressing right control. Go up to the well and a cog icon should appear. Go to your inventory and attach the crank. Then you should get messages etc and a magentic thing which I can’t remember off hand now. Amyway the tree is not far from the shack cross the stream and its not far from there – theres also a figurine by a rock to your right, the tree is just further on from that, not by the island or anything so don’t got that way. When you find the tree and the end of the path , dismount your horse and go up to tree, use the magnetic thing and then voila you have the key. Go to the antique shop , get the lamp and then you are ready to go down the second cave which you will find on the map that you got from down the well.

sarah- if you follow the instructions on the mountain you will find a jewel thing. If you cant find it by following the instructions, just wander about slowly between the trees until you find a small white object. If you get stuck just ask again. xx

Take a photo of that rock if you havn’t already done so, then starting from the locked gate, turn around and slowly follow the path, then once at a small crossroads turn an imidiate left and go down there, at the end (it’s a dead end) there is a small red rock with a bit of snow on, dismount nad walk over to it and press the action button, the key as added to your Inventory, now race back to the gate and hey presto!
Heya everyone, Holi beri, look up the comments it’s here somewhere but, turn around from the locked gates, walk slowly up to the small crossroads and turn imidiate left, then go up their to the dead end, there is a lil red rock with a bit of snow on it, dismount and hit the action button at the rock, the key will be added to your Inventory :)
HELP! I’m stuck onweek five (PC) i have to get to a bonfire, i had a small map, and then i got a big map, then i rode around a bit and found a bit of paper with a drawing of a ?cave n tree? ad then i found a shovel and then i went to a shack and saw a well n it said need the crank. Dunno where that is but then i found another cave and it said i need a light, does anybody know how to help, i am stuck soooo much!

carroll and Jade are both outside of the village. Jade is as you turn right- Carroll is further on from the left. But if you gallop around you will find them, then just dismount and take pictures of them :)

Hello. I was considering buying Horsez for PC; but is it really worth it? I’ve been receiving mixed messages from reviewers, so I thought I’d consult some REAL players (aka; you guys ^^). I love horse simulation games and have a large collection including titles such as:
Pippa Funnel: Stud Farm Inheritance
The Saddle Club: Willowbrook Stables
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron
Horse Illustrated: Championship Season
Since the first moment I laid eyes on the cute front-cover of this game, I was keen to find out more. I always like to do a bit of research about any game I am considering purchasing. But the reviews for Horsez have been hard to evaluate. Several professional game reviewers have commented about the following things:
- terrible graphics
- hard challenges
- complicating controls
- bad plot
So is it really as bad as the reviews say? And is it really worth buying? Please, I’d appreciate honest opinions. If it really is as bad as the reviewers say it is, then I may have just saved myself forty-bucks.

I would defiently say this game is worth buying. I have also many other horse games and this is one of my favourite.
I see you have Pippa Funnel number 1. This game (horsez) is the same as Pippa Funnel number 3 (golden stirrup challenge). I would also recommend Pippa Funnel 2 (take the reins) as this game leads on nicely from it.
The graphics aren’t the best but they are good for games like this, they are very 3D and they always make sense and are viewable.
The challenges can be hard- hense the reason people use websites like this to get help. This is a great thing because it brings people together. The challenges aren’t too hard though so you dont get bored or annoyed with them.
The controls are very simple- eg up to increase speed etc. And they are all listed in the instruction manual.
The plot is certainly not expected but it is interesting. It could be better but it doesnt effect the overall playing of the game too much.
I havent seen any other reviews of the game and i cant make you buy it. But im certainly glad I splashed out on it.

if you continue up the path and go round the corner there is a clearing just past the building with a path with a stone at the beginning. Continue up the path and there is a gap in the fence, your horse will jump the gully here and reach the chapel.

I would recommend playing Pippa Funnel 2 first as a small part of the storyline continues through to Horsez(Pippa Funnel 3).

is that the bit where you get a riddle and have to choose a box? if it is i think youve chosen the wrong box. Im not sure which bit you are at if it isnt this bit. Sorry. If you have chosen a box, you should choose the box with the clue E in it. xx

holi beri- Flora is in the hutch where kiew said earlier in the game that the other might go for a party. If you follow the map that she gave you it will take you to the hutch by the well where you fitted the crank. Then u just free her from there. Good luck for the final competiton its quite hard!

The key…
You have to follow these instructions:
Get off horse approach gate, try to open it. You get the girl speaking. Take a picture of the rock with the picture on it. Get girl speaking. If the girl doesn’t speak, finding the RED rock will not help. She needs to speak twice at the gate. Good Luck!

Shannen – sorry have been away. You go to the paddy field, get out your camera and aim it up to the sky, until a red flag comes into your vision, you click zoom with your mouse. She will tell you its broken, head back to the academy and go to the common room, in there harry will talk to you. Then go to carroll, get her to give him a makeover, head back to harry and he will fix the camera for you. Head back to the paddy field and then zoom in and take a pic of the flag. It will say a number on it. Then you head to the place on the map (its literally just straight on as you comeout of the academy and your second left b4 you get to the cave), and the code to the gate is on the flag. Enter and meet Miguel. Hope this is of some help.
Holi beri – yeh when you have rescued her, you go to the student centre and pick up a note on the table. This will take you straight to the competition.

mizz candii ladii – I would ring ubisoft the number is at the back of the manual you get with the game. They can help you check to see if your game or computer is faulty and just generally help test to see whats wrong.
girl who really needs help (lol) – to beat Daniela you have to take the short cuts up the hill towards the paddy field.It takes practice but you need to clow down as you go round the corners to negotiate them – it helps cos other wise you bump into things. At the beginning don’t try to overtake her as it will slow you as she will bump into you and you will just stop. Keep trying :)

This game is so frustrating! I can’t get past week one. I’ve repeated the week four times already, but to no prevail. I’m having issues with cross-country. I blitz dressage and show-jumping, but when it comes to cross-country, I crash and burn. Literally. Whenever I try to complete a cross-country course, the game is not smooth. It’s all jolty (stops and starts) and I lose control of the horse. When I tell the horse to jump, it remains oblivious to the command and runs straight into the jump. It is starting to frustrate me immensely and I have spent my fair share of hours screaming and yelling at the computer screen. If anyone else has experienced this problem, please let me know. Also, if anyone knows how to make the game run smoother in cross-country, I would appreciate if you told me how to fix the problem.
I’ve got the PC version by the way ^^

The reason can be that you have not enough place on your computer.
I have enough place but I still have that problem. I just kept on playing, and now I have finished the game. It can also be a mistake when you have installed the game.

I’m stuck on Week 4 where you have to find the Christmas presants. I can’t find the CD for Samuel, or the violin score for Aurelle. Where are they? I also tried taking photos of Carroll and Jade, but when i looked in my notes, it said i hadn’t. Is there a certain way i have to take the photos?

2) Go outside
3) go to front gate there is a room go inside
4) get key from in room go back inside
5) After talking in library go to your bedroom and ring stolen number (you will find this near chess piece

7) the first room is gingers
the second room is a class room
and third is attick
8) it is easy from there
To find Kiew’s bedroom
1) go upstairs and find harry very last door
2) Go to restroom wich is door near the horse chick
3) go to spike
4) Go to bedroom get cat food
5) Go back to horse chick there is a cat food bowl put in cat food
6) go to glowing purse get library key

For girls who like horse games I recemend Saddle up with Pippa funnell for PC and Let’s ride corral club for PC. Also Let’s ride silver buckle stables for ps2.
If you did a full reinstall then sorry but the game is lost. It is possible to backup the game by saving a file. but if you lost everything, sorry it’s gone.
Perhaps someone knows a cheat to skip a few levels, so you can gte back to where you were.

hey when your on the quad bike bit, theres no cheats but just take as many short cuts as you can through the trees and get infront of it so you can stop it. i would recommend exploring the route before going

I have DS, and now I’m stuck on week 3, on a stroll, I can’t figure out how to end the ride. I’ve been through one end to the other, I get to what looks like the finish circle from week 2, but can’t finish. I’ve tried pushing every button. I’m stuck.
I notice Julia finished, are you still here? Can you tell me how you completed the stroll in week 3?
I was highly disapointed with the PS2 version. It took the PC game Championship Dreams: First to Ride and changed the name and added the foal thingy. I have that PC game so I was disappointed. Maybe I will try it for the computer, that one sounds fun.

Racie Ponie: What did you have in mind that we would do with these screen shots? Is it something we can use in the Walkthrough to help others play the game?
Miaka: For any stroll, there is an end point but it’s not always at the stable area. Follow the arrow in the direction it’s going. Even if it looks like it’s not pointing in the correct direction because you end up over bridges ect. A lot of times the person/item you are looking for on the stroll is in a random field. Which stroll are you on? Maybe I can be more specific.

when you are on your horse, go over the wooden bridge to the left. Carry on along the path and take the first left. you should be travelling up a hill. Go to the very top of the hill then you should see a cave. Next to the cave is the shovel.

Samuel is in the student centre. When you go back to the shops the student centre is the 2 brown doors.
horsecrazy, when you are outside of the shops, keep going forward until you go over a bridge, then turn left. Go round 2 or 3 corners (i can’t remember lol) intil you find a gap on your right. Then dismount your horse and go through the gap and wen u walk over a wooden bridge, follow the path and go into the chapel. =)
