Quiet Time

Dear Members,

quiet-time.gifJust a heads-up that we are taking a break from computers and the virtual world beginning Tuesday June 12th returning Tuesday June 19th.

We know most of you appreciate what it takes to run this site. What may seem simple from your persective actually requires time, money and skill. Although we enjoy nurturing and showcasing your talents, sometimes we need to step back for perspective and to re-think priorities. During this quiet time:

  1. The barn will still be open. There’s plenty to do and read, you just won’t hear much other than the virtual sounds of virtual horses grazing and enjoying the peace.
  2. We will accept submissions for the loft book club and blog, but won’t be publishing anything new until sometime next week.
  3. This doesn’t change anything about our “Every Picture Tells a Story” contest. We’ll still accept submissions up to the deadline.
  4. Blog comments are closed during the quiet time.

We hope you use this week to get outside in the real world and connect with family, friends and animals. Even *YOU* may need a change of scenery for perspective.

    Good idea, I know how much you guys at GHC work hard. I can’t imagine how hard it must be read stories, check blog comments, ect. You guys deserve a break! Have fun!! :)

    hi marisa, it means we will have a break where no one is available to review, edit, moderate and publish stories, blogs, and blog comments. hope this answers your question.

    Woah, a break, thats just what they needed! They work so hard here at GHC. Hope that all of you enjoy your break. We’ll miss this place a lot, but you certanly deserve the break. Enjoy!
