Seeing Eye-to-Eye

Before the holidays Annie and I went for a walk into a wooded area near her pasture and had a little chat (I did most of the talking) about how we can do a better job seeing eye-to-eye in 2007. This animated photo offers an interesting perspective when it comes to horse-human relationships.
Some might think that Annie’s head facing mine would have us seeing eye-to-eye. But I’m sure you know, she has a much better view of me when her head is turned toward the camera. Facing me head-on, especially nose-to-nose, requires trust and respect.
I’m thankful Annie and I are starting to build a relationship based on trust and respect. As long as we have that, seeing eye-to-eye will be easier. Hmm, do you suppose that’s true for human-human relationships too?
(BTW, don’t you love the purple rope halter? That was Annie’s Christmas present from me. It’s a bit large for her petite head, but she sure gets a lot of compliments when she wears it. Ah, the sacrifices us girls make for fashion…)

Very cute purple halter and even cuter horse!
I love the horse!!
Purple is my favorite color.
What kind of horse is Annie?
Annie is an Appaloosa!

Annie’s beautiful! And I think her purple halter is smashing. How old is she?
Hi Sheri! Annie is eight. I’ll pass along your kind compliments. :)
