YIKES, IT’S ALMOST FALL. Why does it seem like I’m always talking about a change of season in the GHC news? Is it because I don’t write enough updates, or does time move at the speed of light? Either way, I’m enjoying glimpses of fall (broken up by occasional reminders of summer) here at headquarters. What season is it in your neck of the woods?
While a month has passed since the last news update, it doesn’t mean we’ve been slacking off at GHC. Read on for what’s new.
NEW CATALOG GOODIES. The holiday season is still a ways off, but I’ve started updating our online Catalog with new goodies for gift-giving (or receiving). To start, new designs have been added to the Girls Horse Club Cafe Press store, where we earn a small percentage from each sale that goes toward the cost of running this virtual place. If you have any suggestions for things you’d like to see in the catalog, please let me know. And look for some of these goodies to show up in a future giveaway…
NEARLY MUCKED? It was fun to read about your favorite horse books when we Mucked the Book Pile. For those of you who won, I hope you’ll find a new favorite (or two) among your prizes. The current Muck the Gift Pile giveaway ends tomorrow, which means my office will be relatively clear of horse goodies soon. At least until the new GHC Gear arrives. And there’s also that package coming from a publisher who wants to give us more books. Well, I suppose a mucker’s job is never done. :)
MINI BREAK. If you’ve been hanging around GHC for a while, you know the barn office closes down occasionally so I can ‘disconnect’ from the virtual world and enjoy the real world. You’ll see a Mini Break on the calendar later this month. During the break, comments and submissions will be closed for some peaceful grazing. Enjoy the quiet and thanks for reading!

Pony Princess, that’s my favorite too. ”Take a Stand’ was added because so many GHC members feel strongly about animal rights, and many also volunteer/support animal rescue programs so that’s why ‘Lend a Hand’ is included. Thanks for the feedback!

I haven’t checked out the Catalog or the Cafe Press store for a long time. The things there wre amazing! I’ll have to look more into the products :D
