Spring Break News

In her blog Being Me, mustang23 shares a heartfelt perspective about growth and change. We never stop changing in our lives (even us seemingly boring old adults) and at times we feel pulled to move in a new direction. Change can be hard, but in my experience there’s something good that comes out of even the most difficult change.
Although we’re in very different stages of our lives, mustang23′s blog also spoke to me personally. I’m not feeling a wavering love for horses — animals will always be a BIG part of my life — but am feeling pulled toward personal projects and dreams of the future.
That said, the GHC Spring Break that was announced in the May 17th update will begin Monday May 25th. During the break, submissions and comments will be closed. Except for the barn mice and sounds of virtual horse life, the blog will be quiet.
You all have interests beyond horses. Those of you who love to write will keep writing. Those of you who love to create art or music will keep creating. I know we’ll all gain perspective and find something meaningful to fill the time we may have spent in this virtual place. And when our trails cross again, I’ll fill you in on what’s next for Girls Horse Club.

I hope you have the best time doing whatever you may be doing during Spring Break, and that your mentioned personal projects and dreams are achieved. Good luck with your non-virtual life!
Champion Leadmare.. i love all you have done for the Barn and our virtual horse girl family. So what about the Theme song… will we still be looking into that our get back to that a little later?

HorseFeathers, where we left it last is that anyone who’s interested in working on music needs to let me know when they have something to share, so at this point it’s out of my hands. Keep in mind there aren’t a lot of GHCers who have the means to create and record music, and most girls are busy finishing the school year and gearing up for summer activities.
Peanut, all submissions will be closed starting Monday, including JB submissions.

Y’all have a champion summer! Im gonna go trail riding hoepfully and widen my scope with horsemanship! All you girls have been in inspiration to me and i look forward to another season of tales, poems, and artwork. Until then, have a gr8 summer!

Lately I have been having a hard time, so my writing is geared away from horses. I’ll be grateful for the break to get my head together, and hopefully I’ll come back with some good pieces to share with you all!

How long will the break last? Two weeks? All summer? I’m confused!
Ginger and I’maCowgirl, I haven’t decided how long the break will last, but will let everyone know when I have a clearer picture of what’s next.
I think this is a good idea. It’s exactly what I need.
