The Forbidden Land (aka Your Horse’s Head)
Published by GHC • May 16th, 2009 • Category: Poetry, by Gingerby Ginger, age 12
When I look into your eyes,
it’s like a forbidden land,
It seems I will never understand,
the barrier that seems to be stuck between you and me,
Can’t you see?
I will never understand what goes on,
inside your brain,
and it is really driving me insane,
someday when horses and humans are together for eternity,
you will see what I mean,
you will hear my voice,
And I will understand,
what goes on in that forbidden land,
of a head you have,
And I will know,
the feelings of confusion,
the terror,
and the fear,
you hear.

It is sometimes hard to understand what horses are thinking but when you have a true bond they know what you need and you know what they are telling you. They are loving you.

I love this! Great job, Ginger, as always!
Great one Ginger!
This reminded me of when people say that you don’t know if your horse loves you and riding with you. You may not know everything your horse is thinking, but you will always just know if your horse loves you. (Hint- They usually do! :) )
