The Friendship I Find In Horses

There is a treasure beyond just rare.
There is a love that two hearts share.
When loyalty is sworn until the end
Then you have found the truest friend.
Not many horses can be so
Not many people really know
How the truest friend sticks by your side
In times of need when you must cry
And if these friends travel miles apart
They’ll always be together in spirit and heart
For best friends know each other’s dreams
And what true love and friendship means
And if such a friendship between girl and horse does start
The two remember it forever in their heart!

That’s beautiful. :] Horses are a girl’s best friend. There was this quote I read once, it was “The best thing about a horse is that it comforts you when you are sad without asking why” or something along that line.

and i was wondering if u can give me on advice because i had a dream that i was riding a horse just like in my horse encyclopedia and i felt when it was galloping that it would be a true experiance when i go 2 my summer horse day camp and it would feel exactly the same,and ive been having dreams based on horses lately,do u know what that means? -jadethemagic=^_^=girl

Well, my mom just left with my cat to the vet to be put down. I’ll never see her or touch her again. R.I.P Flower!!! I love you and I’ll miss you!!!
When I was reading this, I was thinking “wow” at every line. I feel priviledged to be able to read this amazing poem. It’s definitely one of those works I want to read over and over again. Beautiful job!
Aww, WesternMare, I’m so sorry. That must be really tough. It really hurts, doesn’t it?
Oh im sorry to hear that WesternMare… my cat had to be put down last year. She was about 15 years old. I miss her with all my heart and soul. I have pictures still but itll never be the same.

its ok,western mare because my mom had to do that when she was 10yrs old,but what im saying is that maybe flower wanted to come 2 an end because of what happened 2 her overal,u made her hapy because u cared for her,and by the way what did happen 2 her?

HorseFeathers: My cat was 14. She was about to turn 15 in August. Your right, pictures are not enough. Its not the same as actually seeing her in real life.
jadethemagicatgirl: My cat was dying on the floor, so we took her to the vet to be put down as soon as possible. My cat had severe cancer.
you know what… i suggest writing poems about her WesternMare.. maybe putting her in fictional or realistic stories you write. I did that and it made me feel better inside. (it may sound childish to some, but to me it was serious). =0)

I had to put my dog down a couple years ago-he also was dying on the floor from some unknown disease that made him have seizures.
I am going to enter the contest though!
HF, write a poem about her on GHC? I don’t think it would get published, since it has nothin’ to do with horses… Plus anythin’ too sad would make me cry. But I will consider. Well, now I must move on. With sorrow forever, but with bravness in my heart, her spirit lives on, it guides me. She will forever be in my heart.
WesternMare: I am so sorry, I’m sure your cat is thankful to be at rest and out of the clutches of her cancer. 14 years is a good length of life, during which I bet she was always happen when under your care. I agree with HorseFeathers and her advice – letting grief out, I think, is much easier than brooding on it. *gives virtual hug*

Thanks everyone. She was a happy cat, even when she was suffering, she purred. I also think she’s happy not to suffer anymore. It is indeed hard, but life goes on, and you have to go on with it, even in tough times.

Now I only have a gold fish. I will get a new cat in a month or two. Violet, I too think she had a good life. She is one of the best cats out there!!
that strange mustangmane because my cat tommy that had a moon shape on his right back and was chunky also died on the floor but had a liver disese and was already dead,that broke my heart F_F.and strangely i noticed that violets poem describes the bond of u and yur cat flower.
You know what I realised.. My cat died a day after Micheal Jakson died! Wow that is funny… Well, I know that my cat is happier now that she is not sufferin’. I miss her a lot though. Hey, did anyone here ever tried Keyhole racing? If so, can you give me any tips?
Had the scare of my life! My new puppy, Sadie, got into a bottle of bleach! We didn’t know if she drank any and it is toxic! The poor thing could have died at only 12 weeks old! I love her so much and I am glad she seemes to be alright. She is a pretty good dog but like all puppies she dose misbehave sometimes. BUt she can come, sit, stay, lay down, and we are working on shake. I love animals!

awww!poor puppy! and strange that yur cat died after he died,and i never herd of keyhole racing before,ohh and about flower western mare if my cat and kitten which are lulu and bella *not bella from the movie/book as the name*her names bella from bella sara the card(s),as i was saying if they died i’d make them both a shrine because they very special animals 2 me,and bury them with with tresures just like the egyptions. ohh and violet my kitten bella misbehaves and kinda acts like a puppy/dog and my cat lulu!
Acutally, that vet says that they are gonna burn her body to ashes.
