There

When dark clouds rise and a storm breaks
When doom and fear are standing in my wake
When I need a friend to comfort me and be fair
I can count on you to always be there.
Your mane is soft and silky
And you let me shed my tears
Your eyes are soft and loyal
You take away my fears
When times are uncertain
When all seems lost and I am scared
You will always stand by me, and be right there.
No one knows what will come
Things can change so fast and so can everyone
When something happens and I need someone to care
I look and see you, standing there.
A nicker to say hi
A blink to cheer me on
Right now I am with you
Tomorrow who knows where?
But I can count on you
To always be there.
A hug around your long neck,
A kiss on your velvet nose,
I feel better from my head to my heart to my toes
And standing there you look at me, and I glance your way
Together we’ll face our fears until a brighter day.

very good. It really describes how girls feel about their horses
Champion poem as always. A true bond between and horse and owner never dies

NO one knows the future but when you have a friend to talk to and cry with it makes you feel better.
“Things change so fast and so can everyone.”. That is my absolute favorite part. It’s so,so true and only our horses don’t change.
Dogs, cats, and cows for that matter too. At least until the cows are butchered. *frowning* at the butcher. *grinning* at your story.
This is great! I luv it!
Aw that’s a lovely poem Violet, the truth and sweetness of it really touches my heart. It’s wonderful how we can always count on horses during times of need or uncertainty. Beautiful writing!

wow, although I don’t have a horse, I had a young kitten named Urlacher (Pronounced Urlacker)who was just like that to me, in form of a cat..Before she went missing, she was (And still is) everything to me. She was so patient and loving. I’ll never forget her.
