Two Muddy Little Ponies

Two Muddy little ponies grazing in the grass
A chestnut and a paint
My little friend the paint
She will act like a saint
Until you try to catch her from the pasture
The chestnut is much older
Many little kids have hugged her shoulder
She’s much wiser
You dont have to lure her
She will walk right in her pen
While my little paint is as flighty as a wren
My little chestnut walks steadily
My little paint proudly prances, saying,”Look at me, look at me”
The little chestnut says, “Leave me be, just leave me be”
My pretty paint says, “Play with me, please play with me”
They are both so very different that you can see
But I love them both equally
