Waiting

Waiting,
Waiting here,
she’s waiting for the snow white horse to come near,
she hears the clock chime,
she sits wasting time,
a familiar feeling as she often waits,
waiting for her heart to be broken,
just split open,
but now she’s waiting
waiting here,
for that snow white horse to come near,
she’s pure as the rain,
just keeping sane,
as she waits,
the horse lowers it’s head,
no word was said,
she looks into his brave eyes,
not bothered by his size,
the horse comes,
inches closer,
and finally someone chose her,
she was so used to being rejected,
left out in the rain, neglected,
she feels his smooth muzzle touch her shoulder,
and she feels love,
she’s dreamed of it,
hoped for it,
but never expected it,
from a horse

Ginger this was an absolutely amazing poem! I felt like I was in it, waiting, alone, rejected, for someone to love. And then I find it in amazing snow white horse… I love your writing Ginger. Keep it up!
