Where I Wander

Published by GHC • Jun 23rd, 2009 • Category: Poetry, by HorseFeathers

by HorseFeathers, age 16

I am wandering along this trodden path
worn with many ages and friends alike

The past behind me the future before me
future generations of the past and past generations in the future.

I shake my dusty mane
the particles dance in between the shafts of the noon sunlight.

The forest calls my name and I answer her with my wanderings
We are whole yet separate in this vaporish life

Each changing and growing with the seasons as
time progresses.

My hooves are solid and firm from my many travelings
yet i do not deny they are beyond their time of rest.

Sometimes I just stand here on this trodden path, the path of life
and wonder “Will I see tomorrow, what will the future hold, will they remember the wanders of the past?”

  1. I didn’t want this poem to end, it’s simply stunning! There really is no end nor measure for your talent, especially when it concerns poetry. This is one of those things in life that makes time stop and render people speechless. I’ve been studying poetry and language in English at school, this poem no doubt deserves to be in the booklet. Please, I beg you, write more soon :)

  2. Thank you Madelania! You know many people have said that about my poems before. ;0) I like to leave readers with something to think about like you said… and let them finish it with their own thoughts. Thanks again
