Note to Self: Do NOT host a competition where you’re solely responsible for selecting the winner. It’s simply too difficult when entries come from horse girls around the world who are amazingly clever and talented.

Well there’s no one to blame but me for taking on this difficult task. So to make it a bit easier, we’ll have two winners — one silly, one serious.

The silly award goes to Julia for the LOL caption that fits perfectly. Some horses just love to ham it up for photos, and this guy was not the least bit camera shy. Congrats Julia!

The serious award goes to horsejo for her straight-to-the-point caption about an issue that — judging by the number of stories, poems, and blogs we receive — is very important to horse girls. Yay horsejo!
